Terms & Conditions

1. General

These Terms and Conditions apply to all services provided by South Shore Building Solutions (the “Contractor”) to the Client. By accepting a quote or authorizing work to commence, the Client agrees to be bound by these terms.

2. Quotes and Estimates

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

  • Quotes are based on a visual inspection. If unforeseen issues are discovered (e.g., structural rot, hidden electrical faults), the Contractor will notify the Client and provide a revised cost before proceeding.

3. Payment Terms

  • Deposit: A deposit may be required before work commences (typically 10% for residential work as per NSW law).

  • Progress Payments: For larger projects, progress payments will be invoiced at agreed-upon stages.

  • Final Payment: Full payment is due immediately upon completion of the work or within the timeframe specified on the invoice.

  • Late Payments: The Contractor reserves the right to charge interest on any overdue accounts.

4. Client Responsibilities

  • The Client must provide clear access to the site and a supply of water and electricity.

  • The Client is responsible for ensuring the work site is clear of personal belongings and hazards.

  • While we take every care, the Contractor is not liable for minor vibrations or dust that may occur during heavy roofing or building works.

5. Licensed Trade Partners

South Shore Building Solutions coordinates with a network of licensed and insured specialist partners (Electricians, Painters, etc.). All specialized trade work is carried out by appropriately licensed individuals in accordance with NSW regulations.

6. Warranty and Defects

  • We stand by our workmanship. Any defects must be reported to the Contractor in writing within 7 days of project completion.

  • Materials (tiles, metal sheets, solar units) are covered by the specific Manufacturer’s Warranty.

  • This warranty does not cover damage caused by extreme weather events (e.g., “Acts of God”), third-party interference, or lack of reasonable maintenance by the owner.

7. Cancellations

Cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled start date may incur a fee to cover materials already purchased and loss of scheduling.

8. Insurance and Liability

South Shore Building Solutions maintains current Public Liability Insurance. We are not liable for pre-existing structural issues or damage caused by circumstances beyond our control.

9. Governance

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia.
